Stress Tolerance Signals Success.

Ever thought about how your stress tolerance could be your success thermometer?

It’s true that life on its own even when working a regular 9-5 is very stressful. But over the years, I've realized that it's nothing compared to entrepreneurship. Throughout my self-employment journey, I was facing a lot of stress from the following:

  • Clients

  • Payments

  • Taxes

  • Employees

  • Debts

And much more problems that rise along the way. With my stress levels sky rocketing through the roof, I've gained weight rapidly, And my anxiety started getting out of hand. I've come to realize that all the money in the world isn't worth it if my body collapses, or if I lose my peers. Due to the fact that i can barely handle myself and my business.

Enduring stress is a huge part in business, the more stress you can handle, the bigger the projects that you will take part of in life. To put it in simple terms, this will give you the opportunity to accept more responsibility, and greater volume of work.

Here are 3 ways to improve your stress tolerance in life:

1) Stop Worrying About What You Can't Control

We cannot control everything that happens in our lives. And unfortunately, many of us tend to focus on what we can’t control. This leads to worry, which eventually will lead to anxiety. Remember, resisting the fact that we cannot control certain things makes us worry about them even more.

Eliminating the stress, effort and time that goes into uncontrollable things. Will give you more resources to focus on the things that you can control and make better. Which leads to solving more issues, handling more responsibilty, and overall a healthier lifestyle.

2) Structure

Structure means creating routines and protocols. This is very valuable to your mental health, reducing stress and increasing productivity. And will lead to effective completion of mundane tasks. Leaving more room for enjoyment or extra tasks that need to get done.

You must at least make it a habit to plan out each day the night before. Make everything fixed and simple :

  • Work

  • Sleep

  • Training

  • Eating

Plan the time and details for each of your daily routines. Planning has helped me reduce the number of things that I need to think about during the day. So it's crucial that you make it a habit today.

3) Place God At The Center Of Your Business

Believing that God (a higher power) has a plan for you and your business can remove a huge burden off of you. Learn to lean into Him for all wisdom and guidance. Always know that everything was given to you by Him. Always be grateful, don't run to Him only when times are bad.

During hard times, think of it as if God is testing your will and your power. Prove to yourself and God that you are worthy of such responsibility. Greater accomplishments are waiting for you at the end of it.

In Summary

While stress is inherent in business, it's crucial to manage it effectively for long-term success. Practice self-care by exercising, getting enough sleep, and eating well. This will help maintaining physical and mental well-being.

Manage your stress starting today. So you can take on more significant challenges and responsibilities. Leading to greater success in your life.
